Celebrating its 50th Anniversary, a new mesmerizing production of the iconic musical phenomenon returns to the stage. Originally staged by London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and helmed by the acclaimed director Timothy Sheader (Crazy for You, Into the Woods) and cutting-edge choreographer Drew McOnie (King Kong, Strictly Ballroom), this production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades. Appealing to both theater audiences and concert music fans, this production pays tribute to the historic 1971 Billboard Album of the Year while creating a modern, theatrical world that is uniquely fresh and inspiring.

With lyrics and music by Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winners Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’ and ‘Superstar’.

RETURNING TO OUR THEATRES

As a result of COVID-19, the status of your performance is subject to change. If your event is cancelled or if your tickets need to be cancelled to comply with updated government requirements, you will receive a notification of cancellation as soon as possible and be offered an exchange or a full refund for your purchase.

In addition, we have established and are updating COVID-19 safety measures regularly at broadwaysf.com that everyone who enters the venue must follow. Currently, masks MUST be worn at all times. Additional measures will likely include proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID PCR test.

We are committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for audiences, performers and staff, and are working closely with city and state officials to confirm safety guidelines and procedures for your return. We will provide additional updates once we have confirmed policies and protocols.

IMPORTANT TICKET POLICY

BroadwaySF has instituted a temporary COVID-19 exchange/refund policy. For tickets purchased on or before December 31, 2021, under the following circumstances, BroadwaySF will permit you to exchange your tickets for the same Event at a later date; or if such exchange is not possible or not practical, e.g., the Event is one performance or limited run, refund your ticket purchase:

• You or someone in your party has tested positive for COVID-19 during the 14-day period preceding the Event;
• You or someone in your party is not feeling well during the 14-day period preceding the Event and has exhibited symptoms consistent with COVID-19; or
• You otherwise feel that you represent a significant transmission risk, e.g., you are caring for someone that has COVID-19 or is not feeling well.
Any such exchange request must be made by contacting Audience Services by phone (888-746-1799) at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the advertised performance time. CLICK HERE for complete terms and conditions.

WILL CALL

Will Call tickets are available for pick up at the theatre box office beginning 2 hours prior to curtain time only. Theatre lobby, seating, and access to restrooms available 45 minutes prior to curtain. All international orders will be held at Will Call.

Tickets that have not been received for any reason (including lost or stolen) will be held at Will Call under the original account-holder's name and may be picked up with valid photo ID beginning 2 hours prior to curtain time on the day of performance ONLY. No exceptions.

THIRD-PARTY VENDORS

Tickets must be purchased through an official ticket source such as Audience Services, broadwaysf.com, Vivid Seats or any other sanctioned source. Otherwise, tickets may not be resold, transferred or distributed to any ticket broker or any other person for more than the printed price.
